Week of 8/25

Posted by casej | 22 Aug, 2008
Welcome,

It is great to have a couple weeks behind us. I want to thank the parents that attended the Parent Meeting on Monday night. It really helps get the right information out there and answer any questions that you may have. If you missed the meeting and your son is playing on the Varsity team please contact Shelly Nelson shelrn@charter.net for food items at home matches and tournaments. If your son is playing on the JV team, please contact Liz Swanson emswanson@sbcglobal.net for food items at home matches and the JV tournament in September. Many hands make light work.

I encourage all families to become members of Buccaneer Sports Boosters (BSB). This year, BSB is giving back 10% of membership to sports teams. This extra amount goes a long way. The membership form is available online www.ghaps.org/tennis I encourage all parents and student-athletes to use this site on a continuous basis. Please select Boys Tennis on the right side when you are in the site.

I will be using email as well as www.ghaps.org/tennis to help keep everyone informed as the season unfolds.

The last collection day for Tennis apparel will be Monday, August 25th. If you need a form, please go to the Boys Tennis section at www.ghaps.org/tennis
On Friday, I handed out a form (Buccaneers are Champions of Character) to have signed and returned at the beginning of Monday's practice.

I still have a few players that do not have the following turned in: Athletic Code, Registration Fee ($60), Insurance ($20). This must be in soon or your son will not be able to participate.

First Week:
Friday - Traverse City Central "Summer Splash" Invitational - 5th place
Last Week:
Tuesday - Spring Lake Invitational - 3rd place
Wednesday - Grandville Invitational - 3rd place
This Week:
Wednesday - Varsity hosts Tournament
Wednesday - JV dual match vs. Spring Lake @ White Pines Middle School
I really believe we are moving forward. New Year, New Attitude, New Approach.
