A Blog (short for Web Log)is nothing more than a mini website in journal form. The GHAPS blog system allows you to create a web presence from anywhere you have an internet connection using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor. Meaning that if you can use a word processing program and know how to surf a website, you can create a blog.
The unique aspect of a blog, opposed to a website, is there is the opportunity for two way communication. People visiting your site can post comments or reactions to your journal entries if you so choose to make the comments available. A blog combines the best aspects of a website and a bulletin board.
To begin blogging you will need to have a username and a blog setup. Please contact the help desk at ext. 5040 to setup your account. If you need training you can contact the help desk at ext 5040 and you will be put in touch with our blog trainer. If you would like to explore yourself you can visit OAISD Blog Training Tutorials for guidance.
